Fun weekend

  • Jun. 18th, 2007 at 8:15 AM

Well my weekend started of with a small birthday celebration with Otis, a movie (Ocean's 13) and dinner (Chilli's). Saturday was spent grocery shopping, very much needed, and my Aunt Lisa and her sister Donna and her Mother all coming into town. We had dinner at Osteria Via Stado..a very nice Italian restaurant...yummy food. After-wards we headed to Water tower and saw The 25th annual Putam County Spelling Bee. HI-larious! Go see it now if you can. You can volunteer to be a speller, which we all did but only Donna got picked. I was really fun, plus free candy towards the end. Sunday i started to some what pack for the big move. My book shelve and the top part of my closet...good enough for now. All and all it was a good weekend. But now the next weekends will be "packed"-no pun intended due to Pride Fest this weekend and the move the following weekend...oyee.

This is why i love Chicago!!

  • Jun. 15th, 2007 at 12:39 PM

I just spent my lunch hour dancing to a Blues Brother cover band!! And won a free dvd of the band (the blooze brothers)live concert. Is this a great city or what?! Also vanilla coke is back baby!!

Shoes!!

  • May. 31st, 2007 at 8:46 AM

Ok i recently got 3 pairs of shoes from Kohls and two of of the three are not bad. One pair are literally killing my feet making me look like i have dancer feet..but they are comfortable besides the scraping of skin. Oh well. Chris is officiallyhere and we've found an apartment very nice one at that for only $1395 a month! and it includes everything but phone service. We get cable, heat, air, and water. ITs a high raise, with a decent laundry facility for once. Right near hordes of bus stops...good for me! A little north that we want but for this deal its worth it. Now we just have to jump through a bunch of hoops due to the place being a condo association. Grrith.

It's a boy!!

  • May. 21st, 2007 at 1:04 PM

William Timothy Keyser was born today!! The first boy grandchild in my family...i guess 5th times a charm. Both mom and baby are doing fine. Now i get to go to target and get cute boy clothes!! I'll use any excuse. Man i can not wait to see him. This puts a lot of pressure off my uterus! oh side note....i got another tattoo! "Made in the 80's" with the M being my zodiac sign.

i should be dancing yeah!

  • May. 14th, 2007 at 2:20 PM

I really need to go dancing and soon. My feet have been itching for me to shake my groove thang. But on a side note, my friend Christopher is moving here in a week and we are moving in together once my lease is up. I feel like i should make this into a reality show or something. hmmmm.....Let the apartment hunting begin!

For the love of......

  • May. 1st, 2007 at 8:21 AM

So i just got notice that they are raising my rent another $50!! making the grand total 860 per month. Son of beech! I know this probably isn't much compared to some but when you go from 750 to 810 to 860 that is a huge chunk out of my paycheck. Man do i hate living here sometimes. On a good note though...Veronica Mars is back!! After three months of enduring humorless tuesdays its finally back. Another bonus....Jon Bon Jovi...my fave band ever is going to be on Idol tonight!!! I say if everyday was like this i would be happy.

Two weekend of fun

  • Apr. 30th, 2007 at 9:23 AM

Ok so here is a recap of the past two weekends. Weekend one: Parents invade Chi-town. Went to Blue Bayou Friday...good food, wished i could of stayed for the music. Saturday went to The Lincoln park Conservatory and zoo. Might have to frequent the conservatory. There was a girl there celebrating her quinceanera. Later went to McCormick and Schmidt,Schmit..very yummy. That night we went and saw Frankie Valli and the four seasons....great show! Sunday initiated my dad into the Stella's sunday breakfast. My mom and i go there every time she is in town. They left later that day and i took a nap...parents can be exhausting,...and had Otis fix my dvd burner.

Weekend two: Did not work friday due to Jen and i taking a mini road trip to Milwaukee. She went to talk to one of her professors and i hung out with my cousin Jon. We later met up with my brother Tim and my sister in law Helga for dinner at Beans and Barley...a health food place with very very good food. After went to this german bar that i do not know that name of, then to Cans...were Helga's niece works. Tim and Helga left early due to the kids and Helga being pregnant. Jon's friends met up with us there and we had more drinks. They were celebrating a friends birthday so we all met up at a place called Yields for a few more. Jen and I left around 1:30 for our hotel. I ended up in the bathroom for a while and Jen passed out on her bed. Woke up early for free breakfast, then took a little nap before checking out. Major headache all day. Spent rest of day laying on the couch. Sunday basically the same til Jen called and we went shopping.

So there you have it two fun filled weekends and another on the way. Cinco de Mayo chinese style!

OMG!!

  • Apr. 19th, 2007 at 11:25 AM

They are shooting scenes for the next Batman movie (Dark Knight) right near my work!! Is it still called stalking if Christian Bale just happens to be in my neck of the woods and i am following him every where? Man the boy is just too fine!

From the title you can tell what kind of weekend i've had. Started Thursday with drinks with the co-workers at Cactus after work. Major fun! Its was mostly the rowdy group that went... which is funny cause i organized the event. Margaritas were only $3.75 and local beer $2! Needless to say Sarah was very very buzzed(seven drinks strawberry's will do that to you)It didn't help that Megan, HR director, bought me two at the same time, so at one point i was sucking on two straws at once. Later a couple of us went to Sidetracks for one more, then i went home and literally passed out on my couch. Had off Friday, so spent it recovering, slight headache..not too bad, and watching the rest of my FRIENDS dvds. My mom called later that day to see how i was and told me that my youngest niece, Courtney had Appendicitis and was going in for surgery on Saturday. She's fine now and is recovering nicely. Also on Saturday i went and saw Meet the Robinson, a disney movie. It was cute, but predictable. Good to see to keep my mind off of things. Later that night watched Stan Lee's Mosaic..not what i expected, but entertaining. Sunday cleaned my apartment. Kitty hair everywhere! Later o_w_j came over to help me with my dvd burner only to realize that Miles chewed the cord again, thus having my computer rely on its battery, which was almost dead once Otis got there. STUPID CAT! So no burning got done and i now have to wait til Friday to use my computer again...grrr!

Ok so i haven't posted in awhile, sue me. Not much has been happening that is post worthy. I am in the process of getting a tooth implant put in. A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that a periodontist places into your jaw to hold a replacement tooth or bridge. The are an ideal option for people in good general oral health who have lost a tooth or teeth due to periodontal disease, an injury, or some other reason. I'm the some other reason I have the screw in place and now i am just waiting for the bone to heal over. I've gone through this process before so i knew what to expect, but this time it was different. One, the process is taking less time due to the fact that my dentist is in the same city unlike last time when i had to drive back to G.B. for all the appointments. Second, though the tooth was loose it was not as loose as the first one, so when i had to get it removed it hurt a hell of a lot more, thank science for painkillers. On a lighter note i'm not sleeping again. With the constant weather change my body has been going crazy. When its nice out my apartment is like a sauna,...even with the heat turned off. I have to open my windows in the middle of a frickin snow storm just to turn down the heat. I hate it cause when im trying to sleep my stupid body temp goes from really hot to cold in the middle of the night and vise versa thus waking me up and i never can get comfortable. Even having a fan doesn't help cause its the same process...get to warm, fan cools me down, but then get to cold and have to pull blankets back on..thus repeating the process all over. Doesn't help either that Miles is in his horny season and won't stop meowing, and running around the apartment in the middle of the night! Is it to much to ask for just two days of uninterrupted sleep with no cat, no fucking neighbor upstairs dropping shit every ten frickin seconds, and a normal comfortable temp to sleep at! IS IT?!

R.I.P Cap

  • Mar. 7th, 2007 at 10:44 AM
Breaking new! In recent comic book events Captain "Cap" America aka Steve Rogers was killed today. Rogers was to stand trial for defying a superhero registration law passed after a hero's tragic mistake causes a 9/11-like event, thus ending his 60 year long career with Marvel Comics. He fought and triumphed over Hitler, Tojo, international Communism and a host of supervillains, but he could not dodge a sniper's bullet. So long Cap...i never read you, but your cameos in other favs of mine were always delightful and heartfelt. May your vibranium-steel alloy shield shine on for eternity.

Why I love You Tube

  • Mar. 7th, 2007 at 8:08 AM

There are reasons for my infatuation and why people should go to this sight more:

Reason 1: Thriller wedding dance! Look it up people...and keep your eye on the Groom

Reason 2: Indian Thriller mock video...tears streaming from laughing so hard. GoLima!

Reason 3: Thanks to Leigh: Dirty Dancing Wedding dance...fantastic if i do say so.

Reason 4: Kelly's shoes! Love it love it love it. Must see! This video rocks

Reason 5: If you miss anything from award shows or just can't get enough of Donald and Rosie arguing this is the place to see it all.

Now for a more personal note, i have a DVD burner!! I know i know its not that big of a deal to most people but i'm happy. I finally be able to watch all the shows i've downloaded so far on my tv...they are not shows you can normally get here in the U.S..hence the excitement. Japanese dramas rule!

(creepy child like voice) Come play with us! Ok so i admit i was a little skeptical about another game console coming into this world. Come on do we really need another reason not to leave our homes people? Well participation has proved me wrong. I would gladly never ever leave the comforts of my one bedroom apartment if i had a WII...yes ladies and gens i have experienced the wonders of this devices and it was good. My shoulder hurts a little, but was well worth the enjoyment that came with it. Now i have only played the WII sports that comes with it...but oh man! I sucked at golf(my putting needs major improvement), tennis was interesting specially if you play as Michael Jackson! Baseball...i was good at pitching bad at batting. And i didn't get to play the boxing one cause i had to leave but im sure that would have been fun. So i must resist purchasing said system, which won't be to hard considering that i've wanted a playstation since forever...(DO NOT get me one for my birthday Otis!)But i guess its more fun when other people have it cause it gives me more of a reason not to get one. On another note..I have completed my collection of FRIENDS, yes i have all 10 seasons. Also i have Joss Whedon's entire collection..Buffy(movie and tv show), Angel, and now Firefly along with Serenity....got to love Targets $20 sales!

I just came across an article about a guy, named Paul, who's from Australia, and a philosophy student and is selling his life on EBay!!..what the hell people! He's giving all his possessions, friends, family and basically identity to one lucky winner. The only catch is that they have to go through a 4 week course on learning how to be him. The winning bid was $7,500...seems kind of low. Check it out at yahoo.com. I wonder how much i would be worth if i were to do that..hmmmmm.

Mary with a Cherry--Winter break!

  • Jan. 23rd, 2007 at 9:25 AM

This weekend i found myself on the sunny beaches...not bitches...of Tampa, Florida. Friday left around 12 only to have to wait til 1 to board..frackin weather. I swear i was the youngest one on the plane. My friend Christopher picked me up and took me back to his place. He went to work and i stayed backed and watch Will and Grace til he came home. We then went Chambers, a placed he had worked before and drank and danced our asses off. I love getting tacos at midnight!! Saturday, recovering from the hangover, went to work with him and spent 9 hours in a bar( i haven't done that since i worked at the South Loop Club)I was fun..i got free drinks all day, Blood Mary for breakfast, and Chinese food for lunch, feel asleep outside on the deck reading a book and played pool and darts til my heart was content. Later that night we grabbed a pizza and refreshed for the evening. We drove to this place that sort of like the French Quarter in Louisiana..where there is this section downtown dedicated to bars and shops for the younger crowd. Has a great time dance to country music..not as good as the real dancers but fun just the same. Chris wanted to take to this straight bar so i could get some action, but the place had a line around the block and it was cold so we went to another g-bar instead. It was interesting to say the least. Dancers in cages, drag shows on stages, and half naked boys by the pages. Mucho tired around 1:30 went back home, only to wake up in the middle of the night running towards the bathroom (chinese and tons of alcohol do not mix). Sunday was slept in and i made breakfast. We drove to Clearwater beach and layed out and boy watched. An hour later found us hungry and sick of the sun, so i bought lunch and head home. His roommate Joe made a us dinner, Lobster tails, bacon wrapped shrimp, pasta and garlic bread!! Major yums and cheese cake for dessert. Chris took a nap cause he had to work later that day and i watch some Golden Girls. Went to work with him again and hung out til i got tired enough to go home. Met some of his friends and had a good time. Around 1 i asked where his roommate was cause he was going to pick me up and drive me back since Chris need his car, only to find out that he's stuck at the airport waiting for his friends to arrive. So Chris gets me a cab and i head back, only to discover he forgot to give me his key to get in, so i had to take the cab back. Once i finally got back Joe arrived not later than 5 minutes after i got back. Dangit! Anywho i left Monday morning, going from 70 degree weather back to dreary 20 degree weather. Miles was a good boy and didn't knock anything over while i was away, though he did keep me up most of the night meowing and purring in my ear. All and all i had a blast and want to go back as soon as i can! Oh...yea..give a little shout out to the Chi-town bears for going to the Super Bowl...woot woot!

Jan. 16th, 2007

  • 11:11 AM
So i know i haven't written in awhile, but life has been taking interesting turns lately. My Christmas was good..got to see two of my best friends over the holiday and got great gifts from the fam and friends. LOVE MY DESK DIVA!! New Years was low key due to me being sick..spent it watching movies and going to bed around 11pm! Had a nice 4 day weekend attached to it. Many reasons why i love my job. Finally saw Chronicles of Narnia...not quite sure what to make of that. My computer cord was eaten by the beast..so no computer for a week..then Jen lend me her cord to at least charge mine only to have my hard drive crash!!! 876 lime wire songs gone people!! All that time researching downloading, and sining.....gone...in a day! Then i broke a necklace my Aunt Susan, who passed away two years ago, gave to me, . I swear some divine being got pissed at me and decided to take it out on my computer and jewelery. Then i find out that another one of my teeth needs to be replaced! I have zero or little roots in the front four and one had been replaced already, so this is no big deal but until i can get the surgery done i have to deal with numbing pain that enables me to eat anything hard on that side...frickin genes suck! So i am going on two weeks with no home computer!! My only life line to the massed and its broken! Thank the stars my work is cool and doesn't mind me surfing the net. I am NEVER EVER buying another Dell notebook again!! They are cursed and only last a year! At least i have Idol to look forward too! Oh and since no computer no MP3 player, it died too and since the only way to recharge it is through the computer. Not fair i tell you.

Hey baby what's your sign? FRAK

  • Dec. 20th, 2006 at 1:37 PM

Scorpio — "I desire," intense, controlling, sexual, confrontative, deep, skeptical, mysterious, obsessive, death, transformation, genitals/reproductive organs. I am ruled by Mars or Pluto(can you be ruled by a planet that does not exsist?) along with a fixed, water, social sign: passionately, sensitively, anxiously. Fits me to a tee right?

Twice the weekend before Christmas

  • Dec. 19th, 2006 at 10:40 AM
Man are work parties fun! Friday night was my first official work party that i have ever been to! We had it at my bosses gym..a really nice place with spa like bathrooms and a party room! Good food and drinks a plenty! I even got my boss to wear an chef's hat that said " I heart Archelon" on it and took a pic too. Everyone had a good time and i got to talk to a lot of co-workers spouses or girlfriends. There are pics of everyone...but only on our internal site..suck a duck. Some i don't even remember taking. The best part was the HR director threatening to fire me if i got her too drunk...which i did..hehehe, all is good though i still have a job...she'd miss me if i was gone. I took a cab home round 10:30..an hour after the bar closed. I had to get the next day to catch a 10am train to see my family in Milwaukee. I had a good time with the fam. We did our gift exchange...but ours involves stealing said gifts if we like them better then what we got. I ended up with a neck and foot massager!! Yippy! But what i really wanted was the game i bought "Name that tune-80's edition"! But my brother Jason stole it! Evil brother! Though i did give him puppy dog eyes and asked him to play it with me before he left...which he did along with my other brother Tim and our cousin Kelly and Brad. I won! Which is funny cause all four of them grew up during that time and should know more than me! I rule! Anywho...i have most of the shopping done..only three more people to go..it never ends!! Happy Holidays to everyone!

Name that quote!

  • Dec. 12th, 2006 at 9:13 AM

Alright you so called movie buffs i am back again..i posted yesterday...to challenge those who think they know a lot about movies...at least movie quotes that is..Yes folks the game is set and the players are ready. I will list 20 movies quotes, some easy, some hard and some just plain unforgettable and trust me i'm not going to make it that easy! Here's the deal..you have to get these on your own..no going to IMDB.com, trust me i'll know if you did, cause im just that good. The first one to get all them or just the first one who gets them wins.....a virtual car!!! Ooo shiny. So on your mark...get quoting....and go

1.)I am not going upstairs with you. I ain't drivin' you no more, Miss Daisy!
2.)I can't believe I gave my panties to a geek.
3.)If somebody doesn't believe in me, I can't believe in them.
4.)One thing about living in Santa Carla I never could stomach, all the damn vampires.
5.)We're all pretty bizarre. Some of us are just better at hiding it, that's all.
6.)Hey Phil, if you're gonna spew, spew into this.
7.)I told her to move her big white butt or I would cold cock her honky ass.
8.)Don't fuck with the Jedi Master, son.
9.)The dreams of youth are the regrets of maturity.
10.)I've been going to this high school for seven and a half years. I'm no dummy. I know high school girls.
11.)That's what I love about these high school girls, man. I get older, they stay the same age.
12.)How 'bout a nice greasy pork sandwich served in a dirty ashtray?
13.)I ask for so little. Just fear me, love me, do as I say and I will be your slave.
14.)Ya look like Gelfling...SMELL like Gelfling...maybe y'ARE Gelfling!
15.)He'll keep calling me, he'll keep calling me until I come over. He'll make me feel guilty. This is uh... This is ridiculous, ok I'll go, I'll go, I'll go, I'll go, I'll go. What - I'LL GO. Shit.
16.) He's the reason Cliffs Notes were invented.
17.) Yeah, I'm just going home, grab a shower and shave, give the wife a little pickle-tickle, and I'm on my way.
18.)Man, I thought New York was the only place to end up in a murder rap, Jesus Christ!
19.) My name is Inigo Montoya! You killed my father prepare to die!
20.)I believe in death, destruction, chaos, filth, and greed.

Ok so as the month as progressed i've taken note of things that have made me kind of annoyed or mad lately.

1) that Veronica Mars won't be airing any new episode til Jan 23!! and still no word if it's canceled or not. I really don't like the way the CW is set up now...stupid marketing people.

2) i know it's the holiday season and all but when i ordered something two weeks in advanced and it doesn't gets to me til the day after i need it kinda makes me pissed.

3) People still assuming my friend Jen and I live together or that we are the same person. We have friends that send emails to only one of us assuming that we'll just tell each other whatever the person said in the email...We are TWO separate people, with TWO separate emails..and we DON'T always tell each other everything! Thank you to those who do realize this..much obliged.

4.) Tim Gunn from Project Runnway may not be returning next year!! Why would you want to take away the one person who actually has something intelligent to say from the show!

5) Last but not least....all the Christmas shopping i still have left to do..and it just keeps piling up!!
